Giuseppe has a background as a speech therapist (Bachelor's degree at Complutense University) and he is specialized in Cognitive Neuroscience (Msc at University of Granada). He alternates between teaching Spanish as a professor at the CIEE and working on his PhD research at the Universitat de les Illes Balears. He is focused on investigating the cognitive processing of language in the bilingual brain, and more specifically on the processing of syntax in Spanish - Catalan bilinguals and Spanish - English bilinguals.
His thesis belongs to the Language Acquisition and Ultimate Attainment (LAUA) project directed by Pedro Guijarro. The project was awarded in 2022 by the Ministry of Science and Innovation as well as the State Investigation Agency (PID2021-122127NB-100).
